THE EXPERIENCE

"In the heart of the mountains, where silence meets grandeur, every chalet becomes a sanctuary, a haven for the soul."

Embark on a journey where time dances slowly, and nature whispers tales of timeless grace and rustic charm. Hushstay x Olive Chalet unfolds as a sanctuary where every day begins with the gentle murmur of trees and concludes with a symphony of stars.

Tucked away amid the blissful natural surroundings of Tangmarg, about 40 km from Srinagar and 14 km before Gulmarg, Hushstay x Olive Chalet is a 02-bedroom chalet that redefines snug luxury and promises wonderland charm. Lose yourself in the narrow lanes, revealing the rich history of this quiet village. As you step inside the private estate that also houses Hushstay x Cheese Cottage, you will find yourself engulfed by wildflowers, fruit trees, and a gentle water stream originating from the Drung River.

An A-frame cabin, with skylights in every room and oversized windows, unveils a captivating landscape that transforms with each season. Every corner, from quirky decor to vibrant pops of color, invites you to escape to nature's arms.

Please note: Hushstay x Olive Chalet is part of a private estate that also houses another 02 Bedroom Unit called Hushstay x Cheese Cottage. Couples or smaller groups (upto 06 guests) can opt for either Olive Chalet or Cheese Cottage while bigger groups (07 - 12 guests) can book both cottages together.

THE SPACE

Nestled in the heart of Tangmarg's enchanting hills, Hushstay x Olive Chalet is a testament to the harmonious union of nature and design. Sharing grounds with the esteemed Hushstay x Cheese Cottage and surrounded by the Pir Panjal Range, this A-frame cottage unveils a visual crescendo.

Skylights adorn each room, inviting the ever-changing seasons to paint the landscape in a vibrant palette. The snug luxury within boasts vibrant interiors, each room narrating a unique story and beckoning guests into a whimsical journey.

As you step into this mountain refuge, the architecture seamlessly transitions from the exterior grandeur to curated interiors that echo a boutique European charm from the 80s. The living room on the ground floor consists of a Chesterfield-style leather couch with the backdrop of a nature-inspired wall and surrounded by unique touches from a bygone era.

The design ethos gracefully transcends boundaries, extending seamlessly from the living room to the two bedrooms on the ground and upper floor.

THE ROOMS

The 02 bedrooms at Hushstay x Olive Chalet are a blend of comfort, style and great views. The bedroom on the ground floor adjoins the living area and a staircase leads from the living area to the second bedroom. Each room boasts hot/cold AC, Wi-Fi, and an attached washroom with all modern amenities.

The true allure lies beyond the sliding glass doors, opening onto private balconies that offer a panoramic spectacle. Immerse yourself in the breathtaking views of the sprawling estate and rolling hills, where each moment becomes a canvas painted with the beauty of nature. Hushstay x Olive Chalet's rooms are not just spaces to rest; they are vantage points, granting you front-row seats to the ever-changing tapestry of the surrounding landscape.

THINGS TO DO

AROUND THE OLIVE CHALET

Explore the wonders of Tangmarg throughout the seasons, each bringing its own beauty. From clear blue skies in summer to colorful wildflowers in spring, red chinar leaves in fall, and a snowy wonderland in winter.

Enjoy a relaxing walk or a 15-minute bike ride along Ferozapora Nalla, leading to a charming picnic spot by the Drung River. A bit further, discover the Drung waterfall, a frozen marvel in winter. Our caretaker can arrange for a friendly local guide to take you on delightful day hikes in the Drung Valley.

For some excitement, try an ATV (All Terrain Vehicle) ride to the Drung Waterfall, available for hire in Tangmarg's main square. A quick 30-minute drive brings you to Gulmarg, and the lesser-known Doodhpaathri, with its vast meadows and pine trees, is just a two-hour drive away.
