THE EXPERIENCE

"In every walk with nature, one receives far more than he seeks."

The hills here do not rush. They breathe—slowly, deeply—draped in pine-scented air and the soft shimmer of morning light. In Satoli near Mukteshwar (12 kms) and Nainital (45 kms), the days stretch long and unhurried, stitched together by the call of hill birds and the hush of wind moving through oak and rhododendron. Mist drifts lazily across the ridges, revealing and hiding the faraway snow peaks, as if the mountains are telling their stories in fragments.

It is in this stillness that Hushstay x Meraki finds its home—a 2-bedroom wooden cabin that feels as though it grew out of the land itself. Part of The Woodhouse Farm Estate, which also features a 4-bedroom house and the 1-bedroom Kamet, it can be reserved on its own for a private hideaway or taken together for intimate gatherings. Floor-to-ceiling glass brings the landscape into every corner, while warm timber interiors wrap you in quiet comfort.

Here, the pace of life narrows to the essentials: the slow pour of tea at sunrise, the crunch of leaves on an afternoon walk, the golden spill of dusk over the orchard. Wander to the yoga deck to greet the morning, lose track of time in books and conversations, or follow forest paths that begin at the doorstep. Evenings unfold by a crackling fire, over plates of simple, nourishing meals, and under the vast silence of Himalayan starlight.

Meraki is not just a place to stay—it is an invitation to linger in the in-between moments where time almost disappears.

THE SPACE

Perched on a quiet slope within The Woodhouse Farm estate, Hushstay x Meraki is a study in warmth and restraint—its wooden form echoing the alpine cabins of the Himalayas, yet softened by contemporary lines and a deep respect for the landscape. Built almost entirely from reclaimed and locally sourced timber, it blends seamlessly into its orchard-fringed setting, allowing the view to remain the true protagonist.

The 2-bedroom cabin unfolds across generous, light-filled spaces where glass walls dissolve boundaries between indoors and out. Natural textures—raw wood, stone, and handwoven fabrics—create a palette that feels organic and timeless, while thoughtful accents give each corner its own quiet charm. Attached to the 02 bedrooms is a small, private and cosy dining/kitchenette space.

From here, steps lead to outdoor decks where morning coffee is accompanied by mountain air, and evenings are lit by lantern glow. Around the cabin, the estate offers shaded nooks, fruit-laden trees, and views that roll endlessly into the hills. Whether booked alone or alongside the 4-bedroom Woodhouse and 1-bedroom Kamet, Meraki offers a private, intimate space—an elegant retreat where nature is not just outside the window, but all around you.

THE ROOMS

Meraki houses two bedrooms, each designed to be a sanctuary in its own right. Large windows invite in soft daylight and frame uninterrupted views of the surrounding orchards and hills. The décor is uncluttered—muted tones, warm wooden floors, and thoughtfully placed textiles—creating an atmosphere that is both calming and deeply restorative.

While both rooms have a private entrance, both rooms are interconnected with a separation door.

The backyard, on the other hand, offers a large space for those intimate evenings around a bonfire.

High-quality bedding, plush duvets, and ambient lighting ensure comfort through every season, from crisp winter nights to breezy summer evenings.

Ensuite bathrooms feature modern fittings balanced with earthy accents, offering both functionality and a touch of indulgence. Every element here feels purposeful—inviting guests to retreat, rest, and let the stillness of the mountains work its quiet magic.

Hushstay x Meraki is given exclusively to just one group at a time.
