Architected by Ekarth Studio, Firefly redefines what it means to live lightly—with curved lines that mimic the landscape, natural textures that breathe, and wide open spaces that blur the lines between indoor and out, letting in light, breeze, and birdsong. Float in the natural pool as the sky turns gold, sway on a hammock suspended over water, curl up by the mini amphitheatre under starlit skies, or share stories by the warmth of a bonfire.

THE SPACE
You won’t see it all at once. Hushstay x Firefly reveals itself gently—hidden within the folds of tropical foliage, its bamboo silhouette only emerging as you step closer. Designed by Ekarth Studio, this elegant villa is a tribute to organic architecture: a living, breathing structure that responds to its environment. Ceilings are woven from kauna grass, lime-plastered floors lend a cool, earthy finish, and every surface is crafted with hand-sculpted bamboo.
Set within a lush lawn edged by palms and native plants, the property unfolds across two open levels. A pebbled pathway lined with lime plants leads you through this dreamlike space. The entire ground floor follows an open-plan design that breathes with the outdoors—airy, fluid, and intuitive. A circular amphitheatre invites conversation. A semi-open dining space overlooks the pool which is part open to the sky and part embraced by the structure. It becomes the heart of the home—surrounded by a lounging deck and an araish bar, perfect for lazy afternoons and long conversations.
A curved staircase takes you to the upper level, where a hammock floats gently above the pool. From here, you can gaze out towards the misty hills or down into the green expanse below. Three bedrooms cocooned along the periphery offer privacy and comfort, while open nooks overlook the lawn and forest, inviting quiet moments of solitude or connection.

At Hushstay x The Firefly, the entire villa is reserved for one group—whether you're two or six. Perfect for couples, families, or friends seeking quiet luxury, the retreat features three distinct bedrooms, each offering privacy, comfort, and a deep connection to the outdoors.
Two of the rooms are enclosed circular bamboo suites—intimate air-conditioned glass pods with round beds, floor-to-ceiling windows, and sweeping views of tea gardens and paddy fields. Handwoven curtains, natural textures, and soft lighting create a mood of warmth and serenity. The third bedroom follows an open, Bali-style layout—airy yet sheltered, with an earthy elegance and an air conditioner for comfort on warmer days.
All rooms feature ensuite bathrooms and private balconies. With a serene, earthy charm, this is a space where you can wake up slowly, breathe deeply, and feel completely at home. A sanctuary for presence, peace, and easy togetherness.

Meals are prepared by our in-house chef and are made of delectable homemade local cuisine. Our food is organic, locally sourced, and sustainably prepared to support
local farmers and reduce our environmental impact.
Outside food is not allowed unless prior permission is granted. -
A menu is shared upon booking confirmation. We request all our guests inform the staff about their meal preferences well in advance.

We follow a strict no-smoking policy inside the villa. You may ask the caretaker for an ashtray and smoke outside the house if you need to.

Sustainable Travel: We do not provide mineral water bottles or aerated drinks and encourage our guests to avoid or take back their plastic garbage. Clean drinking water in bottles is provided.

Pets are not allowed unless prior permission is granted by management. If permitted, guests must ensure pets do not damage furniture or create disturbances. Additional cleaning charges of ₹3000 per pet apply. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.

Rooms are offered on double occupancy up until 06 guests. If there less than 6 guests, rooms will be allocated accordingly and other rooms will be kept locked. Extra mattresses can be offered if there are more than 6 guests. The tariff is calculated on the basis of number of guests.

Electricity: Electricity is usually not a problem, however, being at an offbeat location, if there is an unprecedented power outage, we have a Genset as power backup to keep the lights and some power points running. This might also offer you an opportunity to switch off and gaze at the starry night sky. We promise you will not regret it.

Begin your day with unhurried hikes through the surrounding forests, or dive into Assam’s vibrant landscapes and culture just a short drive away. Head to Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary for a chance to spot the endangered one-horned rhinos and migratory birds on a morning jeep safari. Take a sunset Brahmaputra River Cruise, drifting past fishing boats and folk musicians as the sky fades over the eastern Himalayas. Just 50 minutes away lies Umananda Island—the world’s smallest inhabited river island—accessed via a short ferry ride from Guwahati. Spiritual seekers can visit the revered Kamakhya Temple. For a thrill closer to home, try an ATV ride through the tea plantations of Amsing (15 mins). If you are planning a longer escape, you can drive to Shillong or Cherrapunji for waterfalls, and cloud-kissed valleys, or visit the sacred Majuli Island to witness centuries-old Vaishnavite traditions, clay mask-making, and village life.
